NOVA SCOTIA DEPARTMENT OF SENIORS – is a provincial government department designated to ensuring the inclusion, well-being, and independence of seniors. This department facilitates the development of policies on aging and programs for seniors across other government departments.  It is responsible to achieve these commitments through leadership and collaboration with partners including the Federation. Its major goal is to implement a Strategy for Positive Aging in the province. This department works with other departments to create and improve policy and programs that impact seniors, and also supports Nova Scotians to get access to information regarding policies and programs that affect or support seniors by supporting the Provincial 211 system and publishing the Positive Aging Directory.
